Sharpe raises his eyebrow at the rather rare sight of such a work of art, a mostly pristine sniper rifle from before the cataclysm, something his group at Teyness would seriously covet. Of course they wouldn't try to wrestle it from her like she was some savage, but she would have definitely caught their eye.

Speaking of eye-catching, there was that one man with the rather bright clothing, he seemed rather... familiar, as if Sharpe had seen, no, something more than that. He's definitely seen that man somewhere before, but the only one who could fit that description was... Nah, it's probably someone who looks rather similar. In either case, Sharpe decides to keep a close eye on him and keeps his collar turned up and the brim of his hat low. He walks up to the bounty board and looks at all the odd jobs that seem to require some sort of combat work. He finds a few odd and peculiar jobs however, and notes one with regards to a stolen heirloom. Though he's usually a more combat-oriented man, he does feel that some sleuth-work could do him some good, maybe in regards to subtlety. And if need be, he could always get Airgetlam to help him out with stealth.

He takes the paper off the board and looks up the address, comparing it to what he knows of the city's layout. He walks over to the stand and looks up at the ones attending it. He keeps looking at the girl with the rifle slung over her back.

"I wouldn't think her so much of a child. I was about two years or so older than her when i joined the military. You'd be surprised by the spirit and ability some of the more youthful ones will have. Anyway, would you kindly inform me how your bounty board works here in Recudor? I'm unsure if it is different or the same as the systems in other places I have been."

Airgetlam flips through the pages a bit more but cannot help but feel a little less if not just as stumped as before. She continues to take notes, but for each annotation she marks, she feels as though some things just don't add up. She stops and ponders for a moment. She considers the "corruption" that was mentioned, and how it will affect and, and as well how her protraction-resistance arm will come into play. How does this corruption make itself manifest as well anyway? Is it a blight upon the skin? Or the darkening of one's soul? Or perhaps, a long-term gradual turn, where she becomes something completely different? She shudders at these thoughts and returns to her studies. She shifts the book into her other hand and preens Mitsuki with her silver arm.

"I hope you're ok if I do that, I know some people just don't like seeing the arm so sometimes I hide it. Maybe you will be more accepting." she says to the cat.

"Hmph, what if you knew magic or something huh? Wouldn't that be something if you turned into my tutor or something?" She chuckles to herself. She keeps reading through the book, having found some useful things but not exactly what she needs, until she comes to a page talking about something of interest to her, even if it isn't directly related to her craft: Arc-Projection, the ability to cast and manipulate lightning and electrical abilities. She lifts an eyebrow and keeps reading into this.

The gleam of the rifle caught Richard's eye. It was a well-worn weapon that had clearly seen better days but it looked as if the little lady definitely knew how to take care of it, and more importantly, how to use it. He resisted the urge to ask her more about it, didn't wanna look creepy drooling over her weapon and such. She must have really needed some funds if she decided to take multiple jobs at once though.

He turned his attention back to the board. He wasn't particularly low on funds but he was definitely desperate for work, the reason he showed up in Recudor in the first place was to ease that restless feeling he got when not much was going on... Well that and the passing rumors he had heard of this place.

There's always a lot going on in bustling trading areas like this, so of course rumors come spilling out by the dozens here. RD visited Na'Hog before this, caught a ride down south with some of the farmers who wanted to sell their wares; he traded his protection services for the ride knowing there was a relatively high chance they may be attacked by any of the numerous dangers known to roam Glayp'neir in the time it would take to get there.

During this time he conversed with his employers, merely making small-talk to pass the time, but man they had some strange stores to tell! They told a tale of the recently-passed harvest festival ( RD was disappointed he missed it, he would of loved to go head to head with the competitors...) and how there seemed to be a tussle over at a strange Doctor's tent, small fights that had broken out, here and there and mysterious disappearances that had been occurring since before the festival had even started.

Once they arrived at Recudor, RD did some follow up, and headed to the local inns and tavern, catching word that some of the missing had returned, led by what he could only describe as a rather curious lot; but the villagers were different... as if they had come down with a sickness... Only after he explored the city more did he find out about the quarantine.

"Strange... Something's not right here... Something big might be going down..." he muttered to himself, arms folded, no longer looking at particularly anything, merely staring at the bounty board.

He shook himself back to attention, he'd have to look into it later, but first he needed to worry about getting some kinda income so he could continue to stay in the room he rented at one of the local inns.

He had already scanned the crowd before, but he felt a strange familiarity with one of the men who recently walked into the establishment, as if he knew him from somewhere. Unfortunately the man had the collar of his black trench coat up, and his wide brimmed hat sat too low on his head for RD to see anything more than his hazel-green eyes as he continually glanced at the girl who was on her way out. He was relatively tall though and definitely lean... "From Teyness maybe...?" It'd fit, seeing the shape he was in and his interest in weapons, as well as the slim sheath he now noticed at his side.

The man takes one of the bounties off the wall, from what RD remembered it was a job having to do with a stolen heirloom of some sort, not his usual cup of tea... unless it was stolen by bandits.

"Hm... might be able to work with that." RD was prone to muttering some of his thoughts out loud, he started to walk over to the attendants where the man stood, he was asking them for details about the finer points of how the bounty board operates in Recudor.

"Hey there! Might i help you out with that? I'm a bit new here and that job looks like it'll pay well, I was eyeballing it before... Oops, sorry..." He finished noticing he had rudely interrupted the conversation the man and the attendant were having.

Jian happily accepts the armor, then getting the money out to pay immidiately after. Thier conversation carries on a little, but unfortunately ends without any signs of the healer being in town or not. He leaves Shiyoko to take care of the customer and inspects his acquired item very intensively. Very well crafted, indeed, he is surprised about the result. His fingers run along the material and it leaves him with another smile, it already feels like it'll be great to wear.

He starts walking again, then turning around for a moment.

"Now that I have my order, I will go to see if I can find the healer, hopefully he's at the attendand for my cleansing ritual. They're rather... careful, so they don't accept anyone that's not from the east. They're trying to preserve their tradition by only having natives getting insight into it. So... You could tag along up to that point, they won't let you in thereafter, I am afraid... Unless they changed their "policy"."

Jian sighs a little, he's a bit sad about not having others gain insight in how interesting the eastern culture is, but it can't be helped if people are only wanting to limit it to that. He then keeps on walking on, trying to find a alley or something of sorts to get changed in, as he wants to gives his new attire a try. He eventually finds a darker alley and walks into it.

"Wait for a sec, I am changing...", he says before going into the alley, then returning after a few minutes wth his new attire, which is the armor he ordered from Shiyoko.

Dr. Atrium nods at what Jian says and fallows him. When he returns from the alley, Doc can't help but smile.

"Looks great on you. Its like you were born for the armor."

Doc walks around Jian looking at the detail of the armor, very well made. When he is done, Doc walks in front of Jian.

"Well if I am not allowed to fallow, I will go and find Sharpe. I understand why they would want to be careful. I wish you the best of luck."

Doc bows when he is done and heads off to the militia stand. After a few minutes he makes it there and walks over to Sharpe.

"Find any good jobs or bounties? I was thinking. If we are going to stay here for a while, I should set up shop for my healings. I make good money by healing and you wouldn't have to do these jobs all the time."

Doc gets on his knees and looks at Hitomi.

"Hey hun, how are you doing...Can you understand me?"

After wait a bit for an answer, he gets up and looks around. He then notices someone he thought he would never see again. Doc gives Hitomi's hand to Sharpe.

"Hold on tight to her for me please, I need to go talk to someone."

Doc then leaves without giving Sharpe a chance to say anything and walks over to the man. Weeding though people he walks up to the man and puts his hand on his shoulder.

"Mister RD! How have you been!? I am glad to you in one piece. What brings you to Recudor?"

"Well...uh... Jian, sorry for questioning your judgment, but I'm not sure an alley way is the best place for one to undress. You ought to wear some normal clothes on top of all that. After all, looking like a civilian is the best way to blend in as a civilian especially when your not a civilian. I speak from experience my dear boy. Now if you would excuse me, I should follow the doctor and Hitomi. I saw he was heded towards the militia stand, and the thought of her around so many dangerous mercenaries makes me feel quite uncomfortable."

Jack hastily makes his way towards the doctor and Sharpe. When he found them among the crowd, they were talking to one of the mercenaries. Something was off about this one though. he didn't stand out compared to the others, but Jack had this feeling as if the man was radiating some sort of aura that grew stronger as he inched towards him. It didn't make Jack afraid of the man. It was hard to describe but it was as if Jack's body couldn't process this aura.

"Something seems to make him stick out of the crowd. Even more than that girl with the ancient sniper rifle. I guess she wouldn't let me buy that from her. Oh heavens, how I would like to take that apart and analyze it...GAH, FOCUS...It look as if the doctor knew him."

"Why hello there doctor, care to introduce me to your friend."

The more forthcoming of the two men at the militia stand takes a look at the paper Sharpe is holding. "New to Recudor? It's pretty simple really." He gestures to the board behind him. "All kinds of people will post listings for jobs they and to have done. We hand them out to mercenaries and fame seekers. A mercenary will choose a job, bring it to us, and pay the missions fee. This is a similar system invented and used in the outlying regions of Soiyam. The mission fee depends on what type of mission it is. You see here, each mission has a rank attached to us. Sometimes they can be a little wonky but we do our best to categorize them. Once the fee is paid, the mercenary will recieve a token related to what type of mission it is. They then bring the token alongside with the approved paper to the person handing out the mission, and discuss the details with them. The token is a sign that the mission has been given out officially and approved. The stamped document will act as evidence thereof aswell. Once the task is completed, the paper will be signed and the mercenary returns back here to us, where they will hand in the signed slip aswell as the token, as proof that the situation has been taken care of. Thereafter they will recieve their money back alongside the payment of whatever mission was handed in. Pretty straight forward." he nodds back to the sign. "Those over there where you got that there paper from are for anything from B to A rank. And the S ranks are here behind us." He then turns and shows off the board, with a mere 4 pages attached. "Those ones are generally more specific and take the longest time and the most effort to complete. They also offer the best rewards."

    Sharpe raises an eyebrow.

"A fee? Hmm, alright then, how much do i have to put for for this one right here?" He says, pushing the bounty paper forward.

He looks up to see the vibrant man asking about his bounty.

"Oh, sorry, you wanted this one? It's alright, I could cha-" He completely stops mid-sentence and hears Doc call out the man, calling him RD.

"RD?" He asks of the man. He turns and crosses his arms. "Spiked Edge? Richard Deraunt? Wow... never thought I'd hear that name again. You were with us in Straylight, I remember you now. Fething hell man, it's been a while." He grips Hitomi's hand a little and takes off his hat, looking the man in the eyes before breaking his gaze and motioning to Doc.

"Doc, how do you know RD? To my knowledge you've never had anything to do with the military or Teyness."

Airgetlam takes down a brief, short-hand description of the spell instructions, and puts Mitsuki on the bed next to Clarent.

"I'm going to try this, and I'm not sure if it'll be completely safe, so I'm going outside to try it. Stay here with Clarent, I don't want either of you to get hurt, mmkay?" She says, and takes the book and note and walks down the stairs and out the house. She looks at the note and considers the steps.

She parts her legs and sets herself into a stable stance, her right side pointing out, and she aims her right arm at the nearby wall. She closes her eyes and breaths, and braces for an incoming voltage.

    Nothing happens.

She remarks on how her body feels, and considers that she honestly can't grasp what exactly she is supposed to be feeling.

"Welp, no magic for me until Doc gets back then I guess." She says and goes back inside, resuming her studies and petting the cat like she had been. She does make a note to keep "Arc Projection" in the cue, and keeps looking for other spells that she would find useful.

RD listened closely to what the man attending the stand had to say, luckily he had run into similar systems in both Soiyam and Na'Hog so getting used to the one here in Recudor would be a breeze.

A man then puts his hand on RD's shoulder while mentioning his name. RD turns to face the man and is pleasantly surprised! "Whoa! If it isn't the Good Doctor! You seem to be doing well, that's... well, that's good! What brings you to Recudor? Actually this is great, I had something i needed to consult you abou...t later..." He pauses near the end of his sentence hearing a code-name he hadn't heard in awhile followed by his real name, turning as he finished what he was saying to the Doc; only those who were part of a very special operation would know his code-name...

He turns back to the man in the trench coat to see that he was not only facing him now, he also now had a strange little girl grasping his hand. It took Richard a moment but immediately after the man removed his hat it all came rushing back, "Wait a sec.... Point-Man? Sharpe? OH SNAP!" He exclaimed rather loudly, slapping his hand across his thigh, then quickly walking over to the man to give him a big hug. "Fething hell man! How ya been? Ur lookin' rather rugged now, it's a good look for ya! Have ya run into any others from the ol' Straylight crew? Heard anything about em'?"

He then turned his attention to another man who entered the room, yet another man he felt he'd seen before. Walking over to him after hearing him inquire to the Doc about a "friend" he could only assume was himself, RD offered his hand for a shake; "I'm Richard, Richard Deraunt. RD for short. The Doc and I met a while back, i required his services for an ailment i had incurred... but never mind that, who are you friend? I feel we've met somewhere before, but your name escapes me at the moment..."

The Militia stand suddenly became a lot more active as he formally introduced himself to the man. Mutterings laced with a bit of both awe and fear crawled across the stand as the other mercenaries and attendants began to recognize exactly who Richard is. Speaking to the three men he had just met: "Hmm... seems to be getting a bit crowded in here, perhaps we could continue this chat outside?" He then turned his attention back to Sharpe, "Point-Man! Grab whatever charge appeals to ya!" Gesturing towards the many bounties, "I'd be happy to run it with ya!" RD then walked outside, maybe he could get another glimpse of that girl and her weapon, hoping to inquire about it a bit more.

Jian tilts his head a little. Getting changed in that alley was no issue, nobody was in there to watch anyway. And the armor looks rather light too, so he just looks like a regular medic in the ranks from the east. He can't understand why Jack's so concerned about that kind of look, it's not that big of an issue to Jian.

As he's left alone by everyone the sighs once, it's been quite some time since he consulted anyone for a cleansing ritual. He looks around for a moment and then decides to move on, finding his way there while looking through the stands. He might need to buy something later on after finishing.

Some time passes and he reaches a building at the edge of the market, which has a sign written in a foreign language on it. It translates to "River of purity" and it is the place Jian wants to visit. He sighs once again, being a bit unsure of how things will go, but then decides to step inside and walk to the attendant in the main room. He bows once and smiles faintly.

"Good morning, Kuu. It's been a while. I should be one of your previous customers. Jian Manchu's the name. I would like to know if there currently is an open spot for a session regarding a cleansing ritual.", he then says to the attendant, which name's seems to be Kuu. Jian's not sure if she remembers him though, as it's really been quite a bit.

He then stands there patiently to let her check if there's any free sessions.

Dr. Atrium takes Hitomi's hand from Sharpe.

"I will take her for you, I had no idea you knew RD. Well, why don't you go take the jobs that RD got. We can do them with him. If you need any extra money, let me know. I am going to go out with RD."

Doc then walks outside. He looks around for a bit before he walks up to RD.

"I wanted to introduce you to this little girl I have. Her name is Hitomi. She is a fairy that we found living on her own in the woods not too long ago. She can't speak any language but her own but she can kinda understand what you say. She has grown attached to me. She is a good girl."

Jack has a flashback. He remembers leisurely sitting a chair legs crossed in the corner of an empty white room. In the center of the room was some sort of mercenary. The mercenary had a bit of a reputation, and it was highly obvious that something as simple as weapons testing was below his caliber, but apparently the mercenary was low on jobs recently and needed the money. The mercenary lunges some sort of motorized sword at an armored test dummy only for the blade to snap right off the hilt. Jack listened as the mercenary went on and on about the various flaws of the sword and claimed he could probably make a better one of his own. Jack sat silently, disappointed at the device's failure. He casually grabbed a clipboard off, jotted down some notes and left. Matching the voice of that mercenary with this stranger, Jack remembered who RD was.

"Bloody hell, it subject C43...or was he B24. Bloody bloke calling my design fething shite. The look on his face if I could just show him the new design for that sword....w-wait...did he say Deraunt. This entire time he was Ronald's son"

Jack was flooded with memories of RD's father. Ronald was both highly disciplined and to the point which reminded Jack of his father and the headmaster of the orphanage he lived in. They talked on and on about bland politics and tedious weapons research. Jack didn't remember Ronald mentioning his son instantaneously because it blurred in with the rest of the dull conversation.

"Ah, Richard, hello, my name is Jack. Obviously you don't remember me that well since we only met for a couple of hours years ago. I was with that one team that was doing weapons research with the help of your father and his men. Oh, your father, Ronald, had nothing but good things to say about you. It is such an amazing coincidence that you know the doctor and Sharpe. Truly is a small world"

Jack tried covering up the fact that he was kissing up to RD.

Jian catches the attendants attention and she nods at him plesantly. "Welcome, Jian Manchu. Please make your way to one of the three rooms on the far side here." She says and points towards three doors. "A healer will be with you in a moment."

She finishes and walks off to fetch a healer.

Sharpe dusts himself off after being put back down by the slightly shorter man. Point-man, that's a title he as well hasn't heard in a while.

"Heh, yeah, good seeing you too, man." He says to him with a wink. He looks over at the bounty board again and walks over, taking another paper off of it. The more the merrier. He looks at it before pulling it from the wall, and it is regarding an escort mission to a neighboring town. He walks back to the table and sets it down next to the one about the stolen heirloom.

"These two, please." He asks politely, if a bit in a mumble.

She turns the pages a bit more, and then makes a few more notes on spells she wants to know, namely invisibility and a water spell that could allow her to put out light sources. She closes the book and puts it on the desk, then looks over her notes. Currently, her collected notes and spell lists are: A basic fire spell, a spell that allows her to shoot a glob of water, the "Arc-Projection" spell that she attempted, Invisibility, Sound Muffling, and some household spells that engage or activate appliances. She looks out the window and wonders when Doc shall be back, and she remembers that they need some food as well. But ah, she did say that she would look after Clarent, and so she shall remain there. She bends over, looking at her face, wondering how things are going within her actual mind. A pathological sickness is one thing, but what of the toll on the mind? She sits back down and lets the cat come back to her.

"Dang, no sight of her..." RD mumbled to himself, disappointed that he had not only missed the girl completely, he also had no idea where she took off to.

He turned back to the entrance of the Militia stand watching as the Doc and the rather dapper-looking man he introduced himself to came strolling out, the doc now leading the little... girl? that he had come in with earlier towards him.

"Wait, she's... a fairy?" RD's eyebrows raised in interest. He'd never seen quite a thing before, heard of them sure, but rumors are rumors, he'd figured there were a few kids wandering about due to numerous events such as abandonment, war, or some other kind of strife; but an honest-to-goodness fairy who'd taken the form of a human child? That was new.

He wasn't sure of whether or not she could sense the strange energy that he gave off which usually repelled children as well as other people, and didn't wanna get bit, remembering stories he'd heard of people coming under strange sicknesses after coming in contact with fairies so RD merely said "Hello there!" as he lowered himself and smiled and waved at the Fairy-Girl.

The other man, who had now introduced himself as Jack caught his interest when he mentioned RD's father and weapons research. "Aww yeah... i do remember doing a test, those weapons looked great, but they were a bit off balance and weren't very well made..." he trailed off seeing the man starting to look a bit agitated, RD scratches the back of his head a bit embarrassed "... they inspired me to try my own hand at making weapons! I'll admit it's much harder than it looks. I wanted to apologize for giving you such a hassle about them."

The man was on point about one thing though, it truly was a small world for him to meet up with them here though, so many people he had met in such wildly different circumstances... How curious for him to meet them all here... "Curious... wait a tic!"

"So what ave' ya'll been up to? Didn't know ya'll knew Sharpe, when did'ya meet?" He had noted that the Doc said that THEY had found the fairy living on her own in the woods, he wondered if the event was connected to the villagers who had returned after being lost for a time, he was also genuinely curious at the circumstances that caused these people from his past to suddenly meet, they seemed as though they were already pretty familiar with each other.

Jian does as he was told, entering a room, sitting down there after setting aside his items and getting rid of the top of his attire, leaving him with just his pants as his whole scar along his chest is revealed. He runs his fingers along of it for a moment, sinking into thoughts before balling a fist for a second.

Not long and Kuu enters the room with another woman, which already is put into her robe to get to work immidiately. She bows once and Jian gets up to return said gesture. Both look at each other in silence as Kuu then leaves the room for the healer to get to the ritual.

She proceeds to sit down in front of him and he follows after it, both of them sitting on a thin pillow in a wide room of dimmed lights, the edges of the room hold red-toned wood patterns as a frame to have lamps dangle from them, at the end of the room a bigger statue representing the symbol that people of the eastern regions worship on a religious basis.

"Good morning, Jian. I was told you have come today to get a cleansing ritual performed. May I hear what troubles you, my child?"", the woman then says to him, to seek information on why he's here today.

"Recent travels have left me with inner unrest and scars. I've seen things I shouldn't of seen, harmed friends in blind rage and comitted mistakes that could have been prevented. I also feel like my behaviour has changed to the worse under the stressful circumstance I have been going through. Please guide me to find my inner self and get on good terms with the balance of my body and body.", he replies in a slightly sad tone.

"Very well, my child. I can see in your eyes that there's an inner disturbance making you lose your faith and drift off of the right path. I shall hereby clean your mind from your troubles and make you re-align with the balance that your mind desires."

She gets up lighting a stick of incense, putting it into a pot to a few other lit sticks, folding her hands for a moment, mumbling slightly. She then faces Jian again, resting her hand on his forehead while standing in front of him. She once again speaks in a rather silent mumble, continueing doing so for another few minutes. Her hand lifts and she sits down in front of him again.

"Spend a minute in silence and find your path. Think of your mistakes and they shall be forgiven. Find your core and it shall be found in a clean state.", she says quietly, letting Jian sit there in silence for a moment. She then hands him a cup, which is filled with a herbal mixture.

"Now drink, my child, and your body will accept the gift of purity that was given to your mind.", she then adds with a warm smile after some time passed.

Jian drinks from the cup, then taking a deep breath, both of them sit in silence for a little longer as his soul mends one scratch after another.

Dr. Atrium sees that RD is a bit hesitant and he can't help but chuckle.

"Don't worry, she will not bite you. She has already bitten me so the biting of people is out of her system. She is pretty friendly and don't worry about her....being shy around you. She grew up around a vampire."

Doc ruffles Hitomi's hair and smiles proudly at her, then looks up at them.

"I met Sharpe a few days ago. He is a very good man, trust him with my life. We all just got back from a journey. If you wanna hear about it, then we should go back to our place. It is a long tale."

"We all met by completely sheer coincidence. As I said, tis a small world. Speaking of which, doctor, how did you meet Richard. I assume you and Sharpe met each other through some sort of classified mission. Code names like Point Man and Spiked Edge aren't that normally used for an average job."

"Perhaps the doctor's answer could give me a clue of his past. He's a doctor now, he was disowned as a child, but he was as assassin in between. What was it like being an assassin and why did he quit...hm...seems too personal to ask directly."

"Two B rank, that'd a total of a gold and a half. Payment for compleation is... 3 gold 30 silver, plus refund."
The man and Sharpe exchange sheets of papers and coins and tokens. After all is said and done, Sharpe finds himself with two slips of stamped papers and two tokens of sort. "Make sure you visit the contractors first and then complete the slips. Otherwise you don't get paid and your refund is forfeit." he says in a very business like fashion. Simply reminding Sharpe of how things go with mercenaries.

The first slip is by Curtis Copperlen in the southern high class district. The address is not far from their own home. In fact its right down the street. The second slip is by a couple seeking escort to a nearby town. They currently live Eman Ytirucsbo Inn, the inn the group had previously stayed in before making their way up to the castle.

Shortly after the two burly guys from before step up to the counter with a total of five lower ranked sheets. "We'll be taking these." the tall one says in a gruff voice and they commence business.

Meanwhile Hitomi glares at RD. She doesn't seem harmful as much as curious, and she occasionally wiggles her nose at him.

Sharpe nods at the man and places his money on the table. He looks back at the man behind the counter.

"I must ask, why do you charge from those who take these jobs? Why not just charge from client, or deduct from the amount offered? Where I come from, that's how it's done, besides some funding."

He thinks for a moment, and instead waves his hand.

"Ah, nevermind about it, you guys have your reasons I'm sure. I'll just get going." He says, and turns around, taking the tokens and the slips of paper. He deftly moves out of the way of the two beef sticks and walks outside.

"My business is finished. If you guys wish to accompany me, that is fine. To answer your question, Rich, I haven't seen the guys from the mission for a while. I went on hiatus from all that, wanted to get some air, come back after a time had passed. The guys you ran with are fine, King was the same cold and taciturn guy, Ferrous likewise is still doing his tinkering and machine-work." He nods to Jack. "You, our friend here and Ferrous would have some really interesting conversations, he's an Aether Engineer with Essa Four-O-Seven, does a lot with both technology and magitek, knows and makes things you wouldn't figure. Last I heard he was trying to discover an alternative to protraction. Anyway, I left because I didn't really see eye-to-eye with the corruption and bureaucracy that was going on. As well, there was some major faction issues, so now we've got Alvoric's Pride to worry about - nothing prideful about them. Anyway, we should probably go back to the house. The first bounty on this is near there, but I'm debating whether it has as much importance the second one here, which is an escort mission."

    He sighs.

"And yes, it's a long story, controversy included. Better kept behind closed doors." He adds on top of Doc's reasoning.

Airgetlam looks to Clarent again while stroking the cat's ears. She sighs, a solemn demeanor falling over her just then as she thinks.

"You probably won't hear this, but I was hoping you might have been more ok when you woke up last. In fact, I was hoping in the castle that I would find you in a cell in the dungeon - I didn't think we'd find you possessed. And when we did... I felt like it might have been over. Like we had come all that way for nothing. That you were long gone. That someone else had replaced you, someone... someone who bore ill for the world. And I didn't want to have to put you down because someone hijacked your body. It would have been undeserved. I'm glad that we got you out mostly ok, but it's just it was more trouble than I expected. Honestly though, I guess I'm a bit more happy now, because I've been lonely all my life. I've never known my parents, I've had very few friends, in part because I was quite antisocial, and because people would be scared of this." She says, putting her arm on the bedside.

"I hope you didn't have to deal with that in your life before this, and whatever tragedy befell you, I offer my sympathies. In truth, I was also the only female in the group, and it feels good I guess to have another one in the group. I honestly hope you'll stay. I'd be happy if you did, maybe you could become something like a sister to me. Just maybe. And maybe life wouldn't suck as much." A single tear escapes her eye, but she quickly flutters away any chance of more after that.

"Anyway, I don't know if you heard any of that, but I hope you feel better soon. I personally can't wait until you're able-bodied." She says while stroking Mitsuki's fur and continuing her rubbing of the cat's ears.

Startled, RD snaps his hand back. "Wha'ddya mean 'She's already bitten me' all nonchalant like?" She doesn't sound so friendly ta me!" He exclaims looking at the Fairy-Girl with some surprise on his face, only to see her glaring at him, curiosity alight in her eyes, her nose wriggling slightly as if trying to determine his scent, it was undeniably cute, still... "Doc that can't be good, ya sure you'll be alright? I mean you're the Doctor so i assume you'd know best but..." he shakes his head, hoping the Doc has it handled and sighs "Whatever..."

"Anyway, yeah Jack, I actually had heard about the Doc here from a couple of rumors and went searching for him to help me out with an ailment i had incurred during one of my jobs, it was a curse and therefore magical in nature, the doc here was known to be more skilled than any other doctors in the area, albeit underground and therefore a bit hard to pin down... He helped me out big time so I not only did i want to pay him a bit gratuitously, I also made him a special keep sake so he could protect himself a bit better... We did run together for a bit after that, but eventually our goals split our paths." RD explained, elaborating only a bit on how the two had previously met, it was true for the most part, he did leave out a crucial detail, but he didn't think they needed to know about his secret just yet. He only hoped the Doc would be able to pick up on that as he looked back towards him winking and grinning.

Sharpe emerged from the Militia about this time giving RD a heads up on his status as well as the status of the others from the Straylight run. "Heh, good to hear Ferrous is still doing well, I'm surprised he's finally decided to stick to working on one thing at a time, that nut-ball could never sit still!" RD chuckled, even more so when Sharpe mentioned leaving, he never did well with politics, he sobered up though at the mention of Alvoric's Pride. His father had mentioned having a few problems with them, sure there were plenty of scuffles in ol' Teyness but RD usually paid a bit more attention when his father mentioned a specific group or area, usually things might get... complicated when such an event occurred. He shook it off though, nothing he could do about it at the moment, he was here in Recudor, troubles at home were concerning but he needed to focus more on what was happening in his immediate vicinity.

A moment passes as RD lets it sink in, Sharpe then sighs and also mentions heading back to their "place" to discuss how he had met with Doc and Jack. "Alright then let's roll, I definitely wanna know about this journey ya'll went on, sounds like a good story to have a meal and a few drinks over. Ya'll know someone who can cook?" He then bows in an over-exaggerated and extremely sarcastic way, gesturing for them to lead the way.

A good amount of time passed and the woman looks back up to him again, having the same warm smile on her face. She rests her hand on his forehead again, taking a slight breath before speaking.

"I can feel your body relaxing a bit more now. I also see that you've calmed down. Would you like to stay for a cup of tea and talk about what happened for you to be here now? I am not aiming to stop you, my child, so feel free to decide yourself."

Jian wonders for a moment, then shaking his head a little. He's still on the lookout for the healer that was here a bit ago. He's the one that could help Clarent with her sickness after all.

"I am afraid that I don't have the time right now to stay and talk about my issues. I got someone else stuck in an issue and she needs attendance fast... Do you maybe know where I can find that healer, by chance? He was here recently and nobody seems to know where is whereabouts are."

He looks at her curiously, hoping to get information and maybe a location.
