    Thanks guys. Honestly I think that the best for later grouping would be if Atsuko was with Ruhiel. Rey already has a desire to meet him, so it will link later on. Also, I do like the idea of the character personality interaction.

    You can take that as my own personal agreement with your oath. I did in fact recognize that i was being too strict, still that barely changes my feelings upon them (OP concepts/characters).     In all seriousness though' If Doc and Shino want me to be a part of this i'll do so, mainly because i'll do what i can to make this work. Truthfully Dela, you're not the first person to notice i seem to carry some weight here, everyone else has said pretty much the same thing... the weight thing, not the tribunal thing, you're the first to mention that; though Shino-,I mean, Yuki did once ask me about being a mod, and i considered it, but declined.

    I personally would like to see more of this. I tried to make this happen in some of the fights Spike was involved in and every-time it turned out pretty badass.

    Working together, that is. Combo attacks and such. Make your actions flow to leave openings for others or cover others movements. Though i'm sure many of you already know this, keep it in mind when in certain situations, not just combat but conversation as well. Going along with a story or something one character says in certain situations can sometimes force NPCs to see things differently, WORK ON UR SOCIAL-FU.

    Messing up could make things fun as well, remember, no one is perfect, we all F up sometimes. Experimenting with this on our characters makes them a bit more relate able, and of course makes things more interesting.

    In all seriousness though, i made him with flaws on purpose.

    He has no endurance, so you are more than likely never going to see him try to block something, deflect maybe, dodge definitely, but he cannot take an attack head-on.

    He does not do or understand much about magic. He is for all intents and purposes a physical striker, who hits fast and with precision, if the enemy is physical resistant, he's more than likely thinking of a way around it, or a way to decommission or cripple it for a time so he can get away or another means of getting to the target.

    He prefers not to kill, but that's not because of some kind of sentimentality. A living being is a wellspring of info, no matter what they do; a dead one can only tell you so much.

    His social is low because of not only a certain event in his lore that basically forced him into thinking that too much talk is a bad thing, but also because he tends to stick to the shadows and listen, added to his general nervousness around women. There's another reason as well... but its something i'll reveal in time. Added to all this is his Kleptomania, which makes people a bit less than welcome to allow him access to their stuff, much less their lives.

    And OF COURSE he's stealing things for a reason, other than the fact he does have chronic Kleptomania. Ironically sometimes he steals just to see if he can, and gives it back after just taking a look at it, but his main motive is yet another reveal that will happen in time.

    All in all other than editing out the mess i threw in that is purposely OP, and finally creating some cohesion in his BG there's not much to mess with there in as to what makes him 'interesting'. Hell, he occasionally uses his stealth just to spook people cuz their reactions are funny (also why his agility is so high... dodging certain responses).

    I worked all that in... did someone not?

    Sarcasm. The video was indeed informative, giving a clear review of character dynamics via personality, something i picked up back in technical school.

    As for who to roll with? I HAD something hashed out with a certain somebody, but my ideas have been dashed by (somewhat) recent events. I'll just snatch something offa one of ya'll, we'll pop a comedy routine and everything will go just fine... just like ur favorite action movie.

    I'm going to have my magic backfire sometimes RD. Be it the healing or something else. I think it would be fun. Either have the light spears fizzle out during flight or just flat out explode right as I throw them. Hell the healing could make the wound worse. Also Dela I sent you a friends request on steam. TameScarecrow. Also RD keep runnin your mouth. I AM the healer. Don't get hit :D

    These are great ideas and im happy that everyone is communicating.

    Correct me if im wrong about this but what i've gathered so far is;
    Don't change the stat system.
    Be a bit more strict with items passive skills.
    Trust the players to manage their characters in a fair way, step in if not.
    Remove the emphasis on money as a resource.
    Side quests for the sake of story or bonus content rather than just money (What they were anyway).


    Also; Rey and Shibari meet up with Atsuko and Ruhiel with their connection being between Atsuko relying on Ruhiel, Rey meeting Shibari on a job and the two groups meet out of necessity / because one side wants to meet with the other. Still not 100% sure where Rauj comes in.

    More importantly start the story, yes?

    If you're going to play a warrior type you're fine, but if you want her to use the tattoos then put that point in magic. As I've been saying. That would make sense to me.

    I still think you should go with the tattoo thing. It was a cool idea though here are my thoughts on it.

    Effect: When activated, illusions of herself create a cluster of duplicate images around her any time she moves. This makes finding her precise position somewhat difficult and is generally confusing to any observer, friend or foe.

    Left Thigh/Right Thigh: (same tattoo twice for doubled effect) The roots from the lower back tree bloom full of life, down and around her legs into a pond full of fish in her lap, some resembling dragons, others simple fish such as koi. Dragonflies, frogs and other creatures are also represented in the "fountain of life"
    Effect: Significant healing factor. (Not enough to heal mid battle, but minor wounds heal in a day, major ones in a few days)

    Head: I was thinking that instead of it giving you like +1 or +2 for social, how about it makes the person you are using it on more aggravated? You had said earlier that you wanted this so she could get into more

    Ok, what about this:

    The head tattoo really is just to piss someone off and I move one point from Social to Arcana.

    The "Armor" tattoo is flavor text just like the "+stats" tattoo. No actual effect on her stats at all. It's a skintight forcefield that's just "on" all the time.

    RD had a misconception about this. It wasn't going to give her stats at all. It would just give her the ability to parry or absorb blows that an unarmored body wouldn't. It's already factored into her endurance score.


    Without the "magic doesn't work on her" nerf, which (I think?) was only added to try to balance her OPness out, instant healing would be extrememly useful. Those tats won't heal instantly, it takes time, just not as much as for a basic human. If she breaks her arm, it would take a week for it to be useful again instead of 6-8. I'd much rather Rabbit be able to do it faster, and maybe they make it even easier for him?
    Or they could "increase her metabolic ability" instead of "heal" which would do the same thing (and also help explain her extremely high speed and agility)


    Of course all of this depends on if the tattoos can even do these things. Yuki seems to have done a complete 180 on the tattoos even working at all, so I don't know.

    I think passives should be okay as long as they factor in to her base stats. The flavor text approach works the best imo. It just lets her do things slightly differently but... whenever I go over the rules of how hexes work the active portions don't make a lot of sense without some tweaking. I mean whether she can take a punch to the shoulder because she's a hardened warrior or because of some faint magic armor or dodge it all together makes very little difference right?

    For the healing tattoos, I like the stamina/metabolic ability idea well enough. It's more of a vitalizer than a healing factor, and it will ensure that she will always be in need of a healer or take time for her natural healing process, but plug up some of the odd loopholes without giving her a straight up bonus. Again, I suppose just more flavor text to explain why her agility and speed is the way it is.

    Ok, so sticking with the tattoos concept, just making them work. *nod* I changed the character sheet to reflect the proposed changes above, so take a look and see what people think.

    Also, I need ideas for what I should/can do with the 2 calf tattoos.

    Well I was hoping someone else would post an idea for you, but i guess not. The only thing i could come up with is to keep it blank for now. Make it that not only is she out trying to gain experience and knowledge, but trying to figure out what she would like her final tattoos to be?

    I actually like that. Gives her a second purpose for the travelling and things.

    Ok, Thanks Doc. I'd like to hear from someone else before considering her final, especially if they have an idea for the tats.

    Pretty sure Rabbit will be good, since all he wanted was the point in Arcana, but it would be nice to hear from him (you... yes I'm talking to you Rabbit /silly), since I can't catch him on steam either.

    Yuki, final approval on the tats working the way I want them to?

    If the armor was indeed worked into the stats then there's not much more for me to say seeing as that misconception was cleared up. And with the 1 point in arcana I have nothing to say in regards to the rest of her abilities. Its got a go-ahead from me for the most part, we'll handle anyother issues as they pop up, if they pop up.

    I've got nothing for the calves atm, i'll spend a day thinking on it, we'll see.

    That's what I can use the calf tats for. Summoning moons down on my enemies :p

    Yeah. I don't want to be that guy but, we have been dancing around this for a bit. I know we should hash out the characters a bit but I really do want to start and get an idea of how we will be playing.
